Where will we ride - The Portes du Soleil riding area is huge! it includes all of the below resorts which are all linked via the lifts and trails.
Les Gets, Morzine, Avoriaz, Chatel, Crosets, Champery, Morgins
We will be offering 3 days throughout the week of optional "group rides" to different locations in the Portes du Soleil area (Most likely Chatel, Crosets and Les Gets) These are purely optional, if you'd prefer to ride with your mates somewhere else/lap a different area of the mountain this is totally fine, it's your holiday and we want you to ride what you enjoy, but equally we want to offer our expertise to anyone who wants to ride as much of the area as possible. We're also happy to advise on what tracks are like difficulty wise etc and can advise areas to ride depending on what you're looking for.
We've also included within the package, a day to one of our favourite bike parks ever ..... BERNEX! This small hidden gem just 45 minutes from Morzine is unbelievably good, it has a great mix of trails and is kept in very good condition. We promise it'll put a smile on your face! And for anyone who likes a good jump line, Chill trail is for you! :)
Food - We will provide a selection of fresh croissants each morning for you included in the package, along with all the tea and coffee you can drink throughout the week along with as many Cliff bars and energy chews you need for the week. We'll also make sure the fridge is stocked up with cold beers for when you arrive :). We won't provide any lunch or evening meals so this is left open for whatever you wish to do. Whether you want to sample some of Morzines unbelievably good restaurants, Get a takeaway pizza and watch a movie in the cinema room or have a BBQ on the sun terrace or cook up something in the kitchen, the evenings are yours to do what you please. Of course anyone who wishes to join us in the evening for food and drinks wherever we go is more than welcome too :)
What bike do I need for Morzine - Ideally Morzine is best with a long travel Enduro/EMTB (160 front/160 rear travel or more) or a full on DH bike, you can ride a shorter travel bike no problem but your hands won't thank you for it at the end of the week!
Can I bring/use my EMTB in Morzine - Yes you certainly can, as we're driving your bikes over for you we can happily also take ebikes, and there's facilities to charge them in the chalet too (just remember a travel adapter). You can also take your ebikes on the lifts too.
What gear do I need - You need a Full face DH certified helmet and some good knee pads as an absolute minimum but we highly recommend body armour or a back protector and elbow guards as well as goggles as some of the terrain there isn't overly forgiving if you part ways with your steed! Good riding shoes and pedals are also highly recommended (some of these tracks are rough!) along with at least a couple of sets of riding kit (jersey, pants and gloves) and some waterproofs if you have them (it does rain in the mountains sometimes even in summer :)
Can I drive my own Van/Car over - Yes of course, if you choose to get your own way there and back this is totally fine, we can still take all your bikes/equipment and there is parking for upto 4 vehicles at the chalet, please inform us if you are travelling yourself so that we know numbers for airport transfers.
Pricing - All of the above is included in the price, apart from Flights and your lunchtime/evening food - Price per person is £1,149 and is based on 2 people sharing a twin room - if you would like a twin room to yourself please contact us for a bespoke price.
